At this moment, I just put different layers and using different opacity. Is it possible using hard and soft masks?
That is a great question about gradients, and I think you are on to the right approach with using layer opacity. Hopefully gradients will be on the Concepts team roadmap at some point.
The mask tool does support opacity, so it might work too, but I think the layer opacity will give you more flexibility. I have seen some people use the watercolor brush for gradients since it responds to pressure when drawing. I have not tried this technique myself.
