Sinus pressure! Pushing down on me.
Splits my head in two
Puts me under the sheets.
Last week I had to take a break, and I’m running behind this weekend. I had been suffering from horrible allergies for the last part of the previous week and into the weekend. I had a sinus headache at one point, and I heard David Bowie & Freddie Mercury singing “Pressure” in my head.
I had to end up taking the week off last week and then missed Saturday and Sunday for this week’s newsletter. Le sigh!
As I got behind, that added pressure for not being on time with the newsletter. It may not matter, but it matters to me and weighs on me. It pushes down on me, as I have heard it sung.
Several times in my brain I was the one screaming, “Let me out.”
Yet, I believe there are positive changes coming for all of us soon.
Perhaps, we can give ourselves and love one more chance.
Of course, I’m paraphrasing Queen and David Bowie’s masterpiece, Under Pressure. Maybe the most amazing duet (Freddie Mercury and David Bowie) of all time is about how the pressure of life can make us nearly crumble. Yet, love for ourselves and others can give us one more chance.
Literally tell the ones that you love that you love them.
Be kind to yourself on your creative journey.
