Stop. Breathe. Bee.
I rediscovered this simple mindfulness exercise this week. It is one that I had learned in meditation training years ago and forgot about.
"Stop. Breathe. Be." is a simple and powerful mindfulness technique to help manage stress and ground yourself in the present moment. You pause before an activity, taking a deep breath, and then consciously be present in the moment.
It is a great mindfulness tool for use everyday and it is easy to remember.
Of course, my imagination translated “be” into “bee.” I do love to draw kawaii bees.
The exercise was also useful for me to accept that I was going to be a day late on getting the newsletter out this week. I accepted that it was ok and took a few breaths.
Be kind to yourself on your creative journey.

You have reached the end of the newsletter. The way I draw bees always reminds me of Cosmo and Wanda from the Fairly Odd Parents cartoon. There were other magical beings on the show from time to time, like pixies. “Where Is My Mind?” by the punk rock band the Pixies felt like a fitting video this week.
