Gadgets, CES, and World Sketchnote Day
Hi everyone!
I dove back into sketchnotes this week because January 11th was World Sketchnote Day. Also happening this week was the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas. Gadgets have always interested me, but more specifically gadgets, software, and technology that can improve our lives or creativity in some way. There were two different things that caught my eye.
First, I found the Rabbit R1, a handheld device with AI technology. The R1 is an AI-powered device with the aim of creating a new computer that you can talk to and that will understand you.
Next, I saw Samson's Ballie, an AI-powered robot companion for your home. Ballie can autonomously roam the home, interact with smart appliances, answer phone calls, and provide text and video updates when people are away from home.
Ballie reminded me of both R2-D2 and BB-8 from Star Wars, so I had to include them in the skethcnote. You can check out video demo and see what you think.
Here is a page from my sketchbook to show you some behind-the-scenes sketches and how I created the illustrations for the Samsung Ballie skethcnote. Oddly, the dog was the sketch that I could not get to look the way I wanted.
